(The next day, Mamimi is at the bridge, looking for the little robot.)

(Out of a pile of garbage and debris, crawls the little robot, which has grown to resemble a small dog. Mamimi smiles at her new pet.)
(Elsewhere, Naota is riding with Haruko on her Vespa. They speak to one another, but we can't hear them. They appear to be having fun just being together.)
(A whistle blows, it's Miya-jun, coaching her class during P.E.)
Miya-jun - Alright, I'm going to raise it ten more centimeters!
(The students for their turn to try hurtling over the bar.)
Masashi - That's bad.
Ninamori - What's bad?
Masashi - Really bad. He hasn't been home for days. That's what I heard.

(Students click their chopsticks together in unison. We see that Miyaji Junko is lecturing her class. Nandaba Naota and Ninamori Eri stand at the front of the class, assisting Miya-jun with her demonstration.)
Miya-jun - Let's have a fun lunchtime using chopsticks! Regular use of chopsticks can help prevent Alzheimer's disease for grandma and grandpa. Hai!
(The students click their chopsticks in unison again.)
Miya-jun - That's because chopsticks exercise your brain. (Struggling to pick up her food with the chopsticks) You can do it... just... like... this...!
(But the tiny piece she's been able to pick up quickly drops. Miya-jun groans in frustration. And then...)
Miya-jun - Hai!!!
(Again, the students click their chopsticks in unison. But this time, it's with a certain amount of apprehension.)

(We see Nandaba Naota panting, hiding in long grass. He cocks the bolt on a gun. We see that he and Haruhara Haruko are hiding in the grass together.)
Haruko - Takkun, we're surrounded.
Naota - It's a full-scale attack. They've got snipers, too!
Haruko - Snipers are always so annoying, you know?
Naota - If we move, they'll fire!
Haruko - But we gotta do something.
(Naota takes both of their guns.)
Naota - You're right. I'll draw their fire. It's dangerous, so...
Haruko - That's the idea!
Naota - Huh?
Haruko - This is your final battle. Go and die to prove that you loved me!
(She kicks him out into enemy fire.)
(The previous night, Naota and Nandaba Shigekuni watch a John Woo style action movie on TV. One man is shot. A flock of pigeons flies up.)
